What it can see

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 July 2026

The honest summary: Tek Island runs entirely on your Mac, and your data stays there. This page exists to say precisely what that means.

1. What the app reads on your Mac

Tek Island works by reading files that your coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Hermes, Osaurus) already write to your own disk — session transcripts, status databases, timestamps. Databases are opened read-only. None of this content — prompts, code, transcripts, project names, branches — is ever transmitted anywhere, stored anywhere else, or seen by us.

2. What leaves your Mac

Exactly two network requests exist, neither of which carries your session data:

There is no analytics, no crash reporting, and no account. The app's own state — settings, trial start, cached licence — lives in plain files on your disk.

3. When you buy

Purchases are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Dodo collects your name, email and payment details under its own privacy policy; we never see your card number. What we receive from Dodo is your email address and licence record, which we keep for as long as needed to provide support and honour your licence.

4. This website

This site is static. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and makes no third-party requests.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold (which is at most: your email address, licence key and purchase record). Email [email protected] and we will act on it. For payment data, Dodo Payments is the controller.

6. Changes

If our data practices ever change — for instance, if a future version adds an opt-in feature that talks to a server — this page and its date will change first, and the app's release notes will say so plainly.
